- After removing your AirHog™ filter for cleaning, remove any loose debris from the air filter box and completely clean all sealing surfaces.
- When removing any caked on dirt from you filter tap very gentle to avoid damaging the filter screen. Never use a tool to assist in cleaning as that could damage the media.
- Using warm water (never hot) will better rinse the cleaning solution from the cotton gauze.
- A properly dried filter will absorb the oil best. If time permits allow the filter to dry overnight.
- The orange die in the air filter oil my fade over time but the oil will remain. If you are unsure of the amount of oil please service the filter.
- When cleaning your filter, rinse from the clean side to the dirty side.
- When re-oiling your filter sure to spray the oil on the dirty side of the filter only.
